Do you suffer from mental health problems including:
- Generalised anxiety and stress related problems
- Panic attacks
- Depression, including pre and post natal depression
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
If so, there is a range of options available to you, and you don’t necessarily have to see your GP.
East Surrey CCG has introduced self-referral for psychological therapy, meaning that you can book appointments direct with a therapist if you prefer not to talk to your GP. Alternatively, you can be referred by other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, midwives and therapists.
Self-referral for psychological therapy
If you think you need psychological support, you can contact a provider of psychological therapy services directly and ask for an appointment on the NHS. Direct access is open to all patients aged 18 and over who are registered with a GP practice in the East Surrey CCG area.
If you are experiencing a mental health issue, from mild to severe, there is a choice of four providers who can offer you support. You can either contact the providers directly (see below for contact details) or be referred by your GP or other health professional.
