He went on to thank JS for her donation of a cheque for the sum of £25 following the sale of the hedgehogs she had made and sold. A Number of Hedgehogs are still available for sale in the surgery should any one anyone wishing to purchase one.

Practice News

Jacquie and Rachel updated the meeting on the news from the surgery as follows:-

Following the merger of the Greystone House and Moat House Surgeries, Jacquie reassured everyone that there would be no drastic changes taking place to the way in which patients deal with their respective surgeries. However, a great deal of work has been going on jointly behind the scenes to improve the efficient working of both surgeries.

Departmental teams meet up regularly to share work in order to minimise duplication. Triage, nursing, secretarial services are just a few of the services regularly holding joint meeting to share information and ideas to improve the efficient and effective working of both practices to the benefit of patients.

Staff Changes:-

Dr Sherrington is staying with the House Partnership but will work from Moat House surgery.

There will be a changeover of trainee doctors in the New Year.

Health Care assistants Linda and Caroline will be leaving at the end of the year and Andy will be joining the Practice in January.

Health Champions:-

CH reminded the meeting of the meeting of the regular walks that take place from the surgery every Wednesday at 11.30, come rain or shine. The walk takes about 90 minutes and is followed with tea or coffee and cake in reception. All are welcome

From the beginning of January, also on a Wednesday morning, an initiative is planned for “Digital Buddies” to familiarise, assist and if needed instruct patients on how to use the NHS App.

MI informed the meeting of an initiative recently started. It takes the form of an allotment that has been acquired just off of Batts Hill in Redhill. Reigate and Banstead Greenspaces volunteers have helped to clean up the allotment which is intended to be a fun place for those with mental and physical problems to both enjoy and maintain.

A risk assessment is currently being undertaken and Public Liability insurance obtained before the allotment can be used.

Volunteers will also be required in the New Year to help on the allotment.

A Health Champions notice board will be put up in the surgery in the next few weeks to keep

Any Other Business:-

RL Informed the meeting that Dr Anderson will be running a consultation group on high blood pressure to share coping mechanisms in a group session in the New Year.

Similar group sessions for other conditions are also being planned.

JC informed the meeting that, in line with the previous East Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group (ESCCG) Patient Reference Group meetings that were held at Nutfield Lodge, plans are in place for similar meetings to be held via Teams (Microsoft video conferencing system) in the New Year.

There being no further business FC closed the meeting

The date of the next meeting, planned to be held at Moat House Surgery, in the New Year, will be announced in the near future.
